Live Coturnix Quail for Sale
Skip the Incubator and Start with Birds Ready for Your Covey
Not everyone wants to hatch eggs, brood chicks, and wonder if they have enough hens. If you'd rather start with healthy, sexed birds that are ready to join your covey, we've got you covered.
Our mature Coturnix quail are shipped at 5–8 weeks of age, old enough to move directly into your existing covey with a proper quarantine period. Whether you're starting your first flock or adding new genetics to an established breeding program, purchasing mature birds is the fastest way to begin enjoying Coturnix quail.
Available Varieties
Pharaoh Jumbo
The classic Coturnix. Pharaohs are feather-sexable, exceptionally docile, and part of our jumbo breeding program. They produce large eggs when fed a quality diet and are an excellent choice for both egg production and breeding.
Egyptian Jumbo
Often described as the blond cousin of the Pharaoh, Egyptians are feather-sexable, docile, and part of our jumbo line. Their lighter appearance comes from the Roux gene, giving them their distinctive blond coloration while maintaining the productivity and size expected from quality jumbo Coturnix.
Fee Jumbo
Fee quail are feather-sexable and known for their striking black, white, and gray plumage. Our Fee line combines this beautiful color mutation with the larger body size of our jumbo breeding program.
Jumbo White
Our Jumbo Whites are selected for size and productivity while offering the clean, bright appearance that makes white Coturnix so popular. 5 birds max on this variety per box.
Jenn's Choice
Can't decide? Let me choose for you! You'll receive healthy, sexed hens from one of our jumbo breeding groups. They may be Pharaoh, Egyptian, Fee, Jumbo White, or another variety currently available. If you're simply looking for productive hens and aren't concerned about color, this is a great option.

We Ship Strong, Feathered Chicks—Not Day-Old Babies
Most hatcheries ship quail chicks just hours after they hatch. At Bryant's Roost, we take a different approach.
Our Coturnix quail chicks are typically shipped at about 10 days of age. By then, they're stronger, feathering well, eating and drinking confidently, and better prepared for the journey to their new home.
That extra time with us gives your chicks a healthier start and gives you a more robust bird to raise.
Why We Ship Around 10 Days Old
Stronger and more developed than day-old chicks
Feathering well and better able to regulate body temperature
Eating and drinking independently
Reduced stress during shipping
Less fragile than newly hatched chicks
Still young enough to bond easily with their new environment
We believe giving chicks a little more time before shipping results in a better experience for both the birds and their new owners.

All birds are shipped Priority Express by USPS. This is the only way to legally ship birds. I use approved shipping boxes (that I also sell here). Each box has grogel ( a hydration gel), shavings and feed.
I drop them off at the USPS minutes before the truck picks up to limit box time as much as possible. Typically my orders have arrived 22-48 hours later.

We do not have a guarantee, however, we will do a USPS claim and work with you to resolve the matter in a fair outcome.
