Shipping Hatching Eggs
I ship alot of hatching eggs. In 2023, while I didn’t count, we easily sold over 10,000 eggs and thousands of chicks. I have packaged them in so many different ways from foam noodles to bubble wrap and beyond. The best way I have found to ship is in foam eggshippers and double boxed. Since I ship so many eggs, it was only prudent to create my own shippers to meet my needs. I started with the available USPS free boxes and that determined the shapes. Then I found the density that worked best to get the eggs there safely. Next was a hole size to accommodate majority. After much back and forth and boxing and unboxing, the Bryant’s Roost eggshippers were finally finished. Now I am making them available to all you breeders out there too! Getting the eggs to the customers is the hard part. With all the perils in the their travel, don’t skimp on the method. Choose foam shippers for your hatching eggs.
Then double box them. If a heavy box is set on top of the eggs, the outer box will absorb it without damaging the eggs. It takes one extra minute to do this and the 5star review from your customer is worth it. I will post a YouTube video on boxing soon, check it out!
